I just took the 2012 election quiz and found that I side the most with Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul.
This is not a shock. I’ll vote for him again come November!

Politics are not the task of a Christian.
We are choosing a governor - shouldn’t character matter?

California Governor Race Commercial for Jerry Brown

This quote fascinates me. While, I don’t necessarily care who wins one way or the other, because I think both candidates are not any good, I find this quote fascinating. Gary Brown, the Democrats, politicians, etc, are using character in their tag line to win an election.

Shouldn’t character matter?

My friends, shouldn’t character matter?

This was meant in the context of California’s Governor race - but it applies to us in the church as well.

Shouldn’t character matter inside the church?

If we want to reach our world, live missionally, be pastors, be leaders, be Christians, live like Jesus - character matters.

California Democrats and Gary Brown understands that, but do we?

(once again, please note I’m not pro-Brown, anti-Brown, pro-Whitman, or anti-Whitman. this is not an endorsement, just a cultural observation.)
